Do you realize, we have come to an age that the food that we eat is no longer nourishing, but intoxicating. The hustle and bustle of the city, ubiquitous air pollution, limited access to clean water and unhealthy life styles just add to the amount of physical and mental stress we endure. When we think of our breakfast, lunch and dinner, we tend to think of something that is delicious and quickly-served, which seems pretty harmless. However, if we take a closer look on the amount of sugar and calories that we take, the ingredients hiding in our favorite process foods and fast-foods, we would be surprise on how damaging it can be to ourselves. Last few days, my favorite FB Page, Mamavation (i strongly recommend all of you to follow it) just exposed the danger ingredients in our peanut butter, orange juice and kids cereals (what?). I also remembered one time when I attended one of SNE health seminar, the speaker who is also a doctor, laughingly said " Apabila anda sudah check dan mengetahui yang makanan proses yang anda hendak makan itu mempunyai warna dan perisa yang sintetik, anda still makan sebab ia di label sebagai
'Pewarna dan Perisa yang Dibenarkan' dan anda pon rasa OK? ("When you already checked your processed food ingredients and realized that it contains these numbered synthetic/artificial colors/flavors, you still proceed to eat it since they are labeled as
'Permitted Food Coloring and Flavoring' and you feel OK?) The joke cracked up the audience. While bursting into laughter, we also realized the sad truth about how oblivious and indifference we are when it comes to our daily food consumption when it really determines our quality of health and longevity. The truth is, these
'safe' additives are made from coal tar or petroleum which could stimulate allergies, asthma, hyperactivity in kids,and even cancer. Some of them are
banned in several countries, including the U.K., but not in the U.S.
I would like to share some of the information i gathered from a website, which reveals the top-four toxic ingredients found in our food.
• Flouride
" In 1995, neurotoxicologist and former Director of toxicology at Forsyth Dental Center in Boston, Dr. Phyllis Mullenix published research showing that fluoride built up in the brains of animals when exposed to moderate levels. Damage to the brain occured and the behavior patterns of the animals was adversely effected. Offspring of pregnant animals receiving relatively low doses of fluoride showed permanent effects to the brain which were seen as hyperactivity (ADD-like symptoms). Young animals and adult animals given fluoride experienced the opposite effect — hypoactivity or sluggishness. The toxic effects of fluoride on the central nervous system was subsequently confirmed by previously-classified government research. Two new epidemiological studies which tend to confirm fluoride’s neurotoxic effects on the brain have shown that children exposed to higher levels of fluoride had lower IQs." - Source
Flouride can be found in tap water (US), processed food such as instant tea, grape juiice products, soy milk for babies, flouride toothpaste (colgate, anyone?).
OUR ACTION?
1) drink water from reverse osmosis
2) flouride-free toothpaste
3) consume food rich in calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg)
• Mercury
" Mercury is known to cause brain neuron degeneration and to disturb the central nervous system. Direct exposure to the metal causes immediate and violent effects:
Exposure to high levels of metallic, inorganic, or organic mercury can permanently damage the brain, kidneys, and developing fetus. Effects on brain functioning may result in irritability, shyness, tremors, changes in vision or hearing, and memory problems.The symptoms experienced by children exposed to mercury are real and can be directly linked to the vaccines they were given as infants. It’s ironic that the vaccines given to these young people are meant to protect them, when in fact they are adversely affecting their neurological development." -Source
Mercury can be found in vaccines, fish, seafood high in mercury such as marlin, orange roughy, shark, swordfish, tilefish & tuna. Chart by EPA have also listed, to name a few; Quacker Oatmeal, Coca Cola Classic, Minute Maid, Nesquick, and Kraft Barbecue Sauce.
OUR ACTION?
1) avoid eat bigger fish
2) be careful of vaccines. request Thimerosal-free vaccines
3) avoid food high in mercury.
• Aspartame
"Since its discovery in 1965, Aspartame caused great controversy regarding its health risks – primarily causing brain tumors – and was denied its application to be sold to the public by the FDA. Searle, the company attempting to market Aspartame then appointed Donald Rumsfeld as CEO in 1977 … and things changed drastically. In a short period of time, Aspartame could be found in over 5,000 products. Dr. John Olney, who founded the field of neuoscience called excitotoxicity, attempted to stop the approval of aspartame with Attorney James Turner back in 1996. The FDA’s own toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross told Congress that without a shadow of a doubt, aspartame can cause brain tumors and brain cancer and violated the Delaney Amendment which forbids putting anything in food that is known to cause Cancer. Detailed information on this can be found in the Bressler Report (FDA report on Searle). According to the top doctors and researchers on this issue, aspartame causes headache, memory loss, seizures, vision loss, coma and cancer. It worsens or mimics the symptoms of such diseases and conditions as fibromyalgia, MS, lupus, ADD, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, chronic fatigue and depression. Further dangers highlighted is that aspartame liberates free methyl alcohol. The resulting chronic methanol poisoning affects the dopamine system of the brain causing addiction. Methanol, or wood alcohol, constitutes one third of the aspartame molecule and is classified as a severe metabolic poison and narcotic." - Source
Aspartame can be found in soft drinks, over the counter drugs, prescription drugs (very common, listed under "inactive ingredients), vitamin & herb supplements, yogurt, candy, breath mints, cereals, sugar-free chewing gum, cocoa mixes, offee beverages, instant breakfasts, gelatin desserts, frozen desserts, juice beverages, laxatives, milk drinks, shake mixes, tabletop sweeteners, tea beverages, instant teas and coffees, topping mixes and wine coolers.

• HFCS (high fructose corn syrup)
" HFCS is a highly processed sweetner made from corn that has been used since 1970. It continues to replace white sugar and sucrose in processed foods and is currently found in the majority of processed foods found in supermarkets. Studies have determined that Americans consume an average of 12 teaspoons a day of the sweetener.HFCS effects Research links HFCS to increasing rates of obesity and diabetes in North America, especially among children. Fructose converts to fat more than any other sugar. And being a liquid, it passes much more quickly into the blood stream. Beverages containing HFCS have higher levels of reactive compounds (carbonyls), which are linked with cell and tissue damage leading to diabetes." - Source
Due to its sweetening propreties, HFCS is obviously found in sugary products like jams, soft drinks and pre-packaged baked goods. However, many people do not realize that it is also found in numerous other products, including soups, breads, pasta sauces, cereals, frozen entrees, meat products, salad dressings and condiments. HFCS is also found in so-called health products, including protein-bars, “low-fat” foods and energy drinks.

These are some advice from an interesting person with initial "Dr F." His advice really hits the nail on the head.
"After many years of study, research and experience, I can offer some simple, but surprising advice:
1) Avoid everything mainstream. If it’s been on TV and in magazines, then avoid. If it’s manufactured by a big corporate entity, then avoid. Don’t get tricked by their clever
“natural” packaging and marketing. This is warfare, and their biochemists are really, really good. Evil and diabolical perhaps, but some of the top scientists on the planet.
Money, position, status, ego, contracts, peer pressure, compromise, and threats keep 99.99% in line. Scientist Jeffrey Wigand (sp?) from Big Tabacco was a rare exception. This
first rule sounds extreme, and it is, but I’m being honest as there is not one corporate food item produced that is not injurous to your body, mind and soul.
2) Take total control of your water. Remove everything via reverse osmosis, and/or gravity feed filter with all the candles (Dalton). Then ozonate, then add some liquid minerals,
place in a glass container and enjoy. Buy filters for your showers. Never use the ice from your fridges ice maker. Don’t drink bottled water unless it’s Fiji Water, but it’s
only a matter of time before they are “pressured” also. Poisoning our water is essential to their Agenda.
3) Don’t waste your time reading labels. English definition of words vs. Legal definition fools us all. Corporations have a dozen ways of stuffing a product with poison and
making it sound safe on a label. The word “organic” has become useless.
4) Avoid all mainstream cleaning products. Use vinegar, borax, lemon juice, salt water.
5) Throw out all medications. Consider real colloidal silver (which will never turn your skin blue / grey) which you can make, food grade hydrogen peroxide, Miracle Mineral
Supplement (MMS), and your natural fruits and veggies as your new medicine. Ozonated water will help too. Everything the FDA says, assume the exact opposite is true.
Everything under the “natural umbrella” that the FDA claims is useless or potentially dangerous is EXACTLY the opposite. Knowing this will actually make you appreciate the
FDA afterall. Never get another vaccine as long as you live; ditto for your kids and pets. Don’t even think of arguing with this one. You simply don’t know what I know.
6) Disconnect your cable TV and cut down your rentals to no more than 1 per week (to start). You can’t fathom what the programming is doing to you via the audio and video
subliminals and the symbols. Accidentally throw out your children’s iPod (or zap with a very strong magnet). Then control their music as long as you can. Start to play games /
cards / sports with your kids and move away from the electronics. Focus more on your pets.
7) Start learning about real nutrition and supplementation. Find smaller family owned stores to buy from that look like the owners are tree huggers. Learn to grow your own food\
and herbs in some capacity. Try “ethnic” markets around you. Don’t get fooled by “organic”. You must cook 95% of all your meals. Make smoothies to get all those things you
don’t care to eat. Use the internet very carefully over many weeks to understand what your body might need via supplementation. Assume your MD knows squat. Certified
dietitions are nearly useless. Educate yourself. Divide the tasks among family members, and teach each other.
Remember, money is not the issue here. The money you save from no TV, fewer movies/rentals, almost no restaurants, no junk food, no medications, reduced or no health insurrance, and no bottled water means you will have the money to buy better food, filters, supplements, etc.
The above advice is hard to live by, and only about 5% of the people I encounter can proceed with it, mainly because they can’t fathom the “conspiracy” of it all. But, once you adapt to the above, your life will become incredible. I’ve taken the time to tell you these things for free because I am one who knows things, and with knowledge comes responsibilty. I enjoy pointing people in the right direction and seeing them prosper. Enjoy."
I would like to share more on what we can do to detox our body but this article will be so lengthy. So I decided to do it in the next article. Meanwhile, maybe some of you would like to share your views on this topic and maybe can offer some suggestions, no? what say you?
